School Transport Rules

Students may avall of the school Transport, subject to the availability of seats. School bus routes are drawn up based on convenience and demand while ensuring that no route is too long. Parents should consult the school Transport in charge for necessary details or any charges desired.

Under no circumstances are students allowed to go behind or under the buses parked in the school campus, students are also not allowed to sit in parked buses during school hours.
Under no circumstances would students touch the instrument panel or buses.
A student using the school bus is expected to be at the bus stop at least five minutes before the scheduled time of the bus. The students have to be on the correct side of the arriving bus.
Buses will not wait for late comers.
If a student misses her/his allotted bus, she/he should not try to board any other bus. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the parents to drop their wards to the school. Such students may, however, return by the allotted bus.

Boarding and alighting from buses should be done in silence and in an orderly manner
Students must not move around in the bus when it is in motion.
Students must make sure that the aisle of the bus is clear, and that school bags and other belongings are placed properly.
Students must keep all part of their body inside the bus at all times. They should not put their hands out even for waving.
No object should be thrown inside or outside the bus.
The consumption of edibles and drinks is not permitted in the bus.
Unruly behaviour like shrieking and shouting are strictly prohibited and courteous behaviour is expected at all times. The driver's attention must not be distracted or any reason.
The drivers are authorized to stop buses at designated stops only, unless directly by the bus teacher. The list of stop is prepared keeping in view the convenience and safety of all bus commuters and is always subject to change.
The bus teacher and the monitor on duty are responsible for maintaining discipline in the bus. Any serious offence must be reported to the Head of the school.
In case of a change in stop and/or bus (of a temporary or permanent nature permission of the same has to be sought through an application. The change shall become effective only after the school grants written permission.)
Parent should escort their children for their safety, ensure that their wards and always escorted to and from bus stops. For children who, for any reason, have to travel unescorted to and from their stops, an application mentioning the same must be seen to the Head of the school.
Parents/Nominees of students who do not avail the school Transport should report at the school gate 15 minutes before the start/dispersal of the school to drop/collect their wards.
Identity cards are valid till new ones are issued. Old identity cards must be surrendered immediately upon receipt of new identity careds.
If, due to certain exigencies, a student has to leave the school campus during school hours, under his/her own arrangements, the following rules will be observed:
1. A written request must be submitted by the parent.
2. The school leaving register must be signed.
3. A permission slip must be obtained and shown at the school Gate before leaving the campus.
4. Students causing damage to the school bus are liable to pay heavy fine.
5. Parents are not allowed to enter the bus under any circumstance.
